Mexican Tacos Recipe:

  • 1 pound (450g) ground beef or chicken
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • 8-10 small flour or corn tortillas
  • Toppings of your choice: shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, sliced avocado, sour cream, grated cheese, etc.

  1. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the diced onion and minced garlic, and sauté until they become translucent and fragrant.
  2. Add the ground beef or chicken to the skillet, breaking it up with a spoon. Cook until the meat is browned and cooked through.
  3. Stir in the chili powder, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well to coat the meat evenly with the spices.
  4. Add the diced tomatoes to the skillet and let the mixture simmer for about 5-7 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together. Stir in the chopped cilantro.
  5. Warm the tortillas in a separate skillet or in the microwave.
  6. Assemble the tacos by spooning the meat mixture onto each tortilla. Add your desired toppings such as shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, sliced avocado, sour cream, and grated cheese.
  7. Serve the tacos warm and enjoy!

Note: Feel free to customize your tacos with additional toppings or adjust the seasoning according to your taste preferences. You can also add salsa or hot sauce for extra flavor.
