CORN OMELETTE

An omelette is a basic dish made by frying eggs in oil or butter. Egg is a perfect food. It contains a little bit of almost every nutrient you need. Omelette is a very easy form of consuming egg in our daily life. Corn omelette is an instant omelette recipe which is filling, healthy and tasty.

Ingredients:

Eggs- 2 nos.

Onions- 1, finely chopped

Ginger- 1 inch, finely chopped

Green chillies- 1, finely chopped

Sweet Corn – ½ cup.

Salt to taste

Turmeric powder (Haldi) – ½ tsp.

Kashmiri chilli powder- ½ tsp.

Pepper powder- ½ tsp.

Oil- 1 tbsp.

 

Preparation Method: Step by Step with photos

  • Break the eggs into a bowl. Beat it well and keep it aside.
  • In a pan take 1 tbsp of oil and add in finely chopped ginger and green chillies.
  • Then add the chopped onions and ½ cup of Sweet corns. Saute it.
  • Add salt, ½ tsp turmeric powder and ½ tsp Kashmiri chilli powder. Mix well.
  • Take the beaten eggs and pour it over the corn masala.
  • Cook it over low flame.
  • Sprinkle ½ tsp pepper powder on top.
  • Flip the omelette slowly to the other side without breaking.
  • Fry for few minutes and turn off the flame.

Corn Omelette is ready to be served. Serve it hot with bread, rice or roti.  

Suggestions:

  1. More vegetables like capsicum, tomato, carrots can also be added to increase its taste and nutritional value.
